Website Design & Coding

Experience

With a strong foundation in coding and website design, I’ve designed numerous websites using a variety of platforms including basic HTML with custom css and Javascript, Squarespace, and WordPress. My expertise spans everything from simple, clean layouts to more complex, feature-rich sites, ensuring they are both visually appealing and user-friendly. I focus on creating seamless, responsive designs that enhance user experience while also implementing effective SEO strategies to improve site visibility and performance. Whether working with templates or custom coding, I prioritize delivering websites that meet both aesthetic and functional goals.

WordPress & HTML

High Precision Underground

highprecisionunderground.com

After developing the brand, I built High Precision Underground’s website from the ground up, starting with a comprehensive SEO audit to ensure a strong online presence. Using the WordPress page builder DIVI, I crafted a custom, responsive design that reflects the company’s values and services. From hosting setup to content creation and optimization, I managed the entire process to deliver a site that is both visually appealing and fully optimized for search engines, ultimately reaching the goal of improved visibility and enhanced user engagement.

Kips Irish Pub

kipspub.com

At CSM Corporation, I led the website redesign for Kips Irish Pub, collaborating with a coworker while taking charge of the SEO strategy, while collaborating on the hosting setup through GoDaddy, and the overall design and build of the site. We focused on creating a user-friendly, responsive website that reflects the pub’s vibrant brand while ensuring it was optimized for search engines and easy to manage.

Microsites

(basic HTML & Custom CSS)

During my time as a student, I worked on two key projects where I learned the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and even touched on JavaScript. Using Adobe Dreamweaver, I built these custom websites from scratch, focusing on creating unique, visually impactful experiences.

Ten Principles of Design

The first project is a site designed to display Dieter Rams’ “Ten Principles of Design.” I created distinct sections for each principle, allowing the viewer to focus on one at a time. Breaker elements with design-related quotes were incorporated to inspire and educate, while photography focusing on interiors demonstrated how design principles are reflected in the spaces around us. Although the hosting for this project is no longer available, the site was a great exercise in web design and user engagement.

Art Movement: Futurism

The second project is an art microsite dedicated to the Futurism art movement. I used JavaScript to bring energy and movement to the page, reflecting the dynamic, forward-thinking nature of the movement. The design deliberately breaks traditional design rules, incorporating tilted text and unconventional layouts to convey speed and energy. This project pushed me to experiment with typography and layout in ways that challenged conventional design norms, creating a site that was both visually stimulating and reflective of Futurism’s focus on progress and technology.

Creative Prototypes

Mobile App – Trax

Trax is an app designed to inspire and motivate users to explore the outdoors. With a focus on encouraging people to discover local trails, Trax helps users track their progress and stay engaged. The app allows users to create personalized profiles, log their miles on specific trails, and even compete with friends, making outdoor adventures more fun and interactive.

Website – Espresso Yourself

The purpose of this website is to showcase how coffee trends have evolved since 2000 in an engaging and playful way. It offers an interactive experience, allowing users to navigate the site based on their specific interests.

User Experience

The homepage features a navigational menu where users can explore information about different coffee types or click icons to dive into details about all of them. The site is designed to be flexible, with no set order—users can explore based entirely on their preferences.

Design

Using vibrant infographics instead of photographs, the website presents information in a visually dynamic way, making it both informative and enjoyable to explore.
